Sorry, just my two cents on the queer platonic polyamorous thing: this is something my friends and I actively talk about, not wanting to live life according to heteronormative standards? The life we envision for ourselves is inherently queer, and I kind of use that word in the academic way to mean subverting norms? But also in a very gay way, lol, the fluidity that comes with that kind of relationship isn't impossible in a het-norm friendship, but it doesn't come with the same closeness to......

I think I see what you mean, and thank you for sharing your view of it with me. Like I can definitely see queer-platonic now that you define it that way, subverting norms, I guess that confused me as it was being used as a relationship label- I thought it was meant to imply orientation.

I really am still confused as to how this would be considered a sort of.. polyamorous relationship specifically though. Just like the definition of the word being multiple people in a romantic relationship you know? Like this can definitely be a queer-platonic situation, living with people who you’re really very close with and maybe committed to more than you would be with just a “we’re on good terms but I see them once a year” friend, but I don’t understand the need to add polyamory to that, because you’re not necessarily.. with those people, in that sense.

Like, you’re not dating them, and would there be romantic partners outside of the communal living situation? That’s really what it sounds like more to me, like... queer-platonic communal living, as opposed to like, college dorm communal living or a fellowship house situation. Slapping “polyamorous relationship” onto the end is really the only part of that throwing me off.

Like, being in that sort of relationship and living situation is really what I’ve wanted since I was young enough to know what polyamory was, and realizing why all of my relationships have been so unfulfilling due to monogamy or my partners simply wanting to fuck around or use me for sex by saying things in a way that seemed monogamous when they actually only wanted a body to keep them warm and I was apparently, completely replaceable the whole time and that lack of communication really DOESN’T FUCKING SEEM LIKE polyamory to me... anyway. I’ve wanted a real poly relationship that specifically involved equal commitment to more than one partner, and the stability of living together, for a long time, so I can kinda see that, but on the other hand, it doesn’t sound like what they’re describing, specifically because the way people are explaining this is they are not romantically or sexually involved.

But, what they are describing, the whole queer-platonic relationship and living together, does in fact sound ideal and does sound like that could include friends, it sounds like extremely close friendship. I know they’re describing this among people who maybe are not straight, but it sounds like to me that it doesn’t necessarily exclude hetero people because friendship as like a spectrum... does in fact reach that far to a level of commitment and living together, even if it’s rare, but you just wouldn’t call that a polyamorous relationship. So it sounds like in this queer-platonic situation, they are also not necessarily in a polyamorous situation. I don’t know maybe I’m still reading it wrong?

.... is surprised at first, and then turns into a flustered mess. usually, he's the one giving them to you, so he's kind of disoriented when you return them.

he's got really pretty hands (gosh they're so pretty i just wanna play with them), so maybe doing it while you're holding his hand won't get him that flustered, but, if you just grab his hand out of nowhere and kiss his palm, he grows the biggest flush you've ever seen on him.

turns his head away to try and hide it, but in the end, gives up and looks at you shyly, still flustered to the core, but gains a little bit of confidence (because he wants to return the favour). loops his arm behind your neck, and gently tugs you upward to pull you into a soft kiss while he joins his fingers with yours, and keeps kissing you till you're breathless and laughing at each other's faces.

.... is another flustered mess. he's also usually the one teasing you with these type of kisses, so his brain just stops working when you tease him back with the same tactics. marius. exe has stopped working, system currently trying to reboot.

he's also got pretty hands (i've noticed that it's always the artists' who've got the cutest hands) and while he does tease you for staring at them, he gets really flustered when you do something else other than to stare at them to show your appreciation for his hands.

has the cutest little blush on his face, and he looks at anything and everything that isn't you. if you tug on his hand to draw his attention, he grows even more flushed with each passing moment, and so decides to divert your attack by lacing his hand with yours and leaning down to kiss you so hard you think you've nearly lost your mind (spoiler: it worked).

.... laughs shyly at your actions. he's always open to any form of love you send his way, and kisses of any kind are his favourite ways.

acts all dramatic when you do it, with not-so-loud squeals and him fanning himself like a diva on an overly scripted show. giggles so much after the initial theatrics, and has a constant flush on his face the entire time (he'd look so cute, oh my god).

scrunches his nose whenever you plant a kiss because he's so ticklish, and is trying really hard not to laugh out loud. if you run your fingers along his hand, he'll be shaking so bad from the effort of keeping his laughter in check. takes his revenge by just grabbing you out of nowhere and causing a distraction with kisses while he launches a tickle attack on you.

.... only smiles at your actions. there's not a lot that fazes this man, and even if it does, he's a pro at keeping his surprise and fluster hidden under his persona.

the only indication of his surprise when you hold on to his palm and give it a kiss are his raised eyebrows, but he recovers quickly and gives you a soft smile as he watches you. a gentle blush rests on his cheeks and ears as he relaxes in your hold (another scene that'd be so cute-).

laughs a little whenever your breath tickles him, and it's so soft and airy that you find yourself laughing along with him. sometimes pulls up your hand and places a few kisses here and there before letting you continue. if you turn those palm kisses into ones all over his arm, he'll laugh and knock his forehead with yours, and place a soft kiss on the crown of your head (someone do this with me, rn-).

I know I just found this blog and everything smurfy about it but may I ask about Tailor and his.. I think cousins??? Like did they ever meet Tailors tall lovable blue plum (farmer) and how did they react to seeing him with Tailor? Pun intended :)

As for Spinner and Weaver? Yes they would! I've been meaning to touch on their relationship but I'm not exactly sure how to go about it o: so this ask works out nicely!

Tailor gets on well with his cousins, and the fact their jobs all kinda help each other is useful to the 3 of them :) Tailor is a bit closer with Spinner out of the two perhaps since Spinner tends to be more level headed and Weaver is ... perhaps one pin short of a cushion at times XD Regardless they have a close familial bond so the news of him dating the village Farmer reached their ears pretty quickly after it was made official.

They're happy for him! Admittedly they probably didn't see it coming but they're giving it 110% support. Farmer is a very polite gentleman and they're happy to welcome him to the family :) Of course I imagine it didn't go down without a bit of teasing in the early days, nothing mean just typical wind ups intended to fluster Tailor so Spinner and Weaver could simultaneously perfect their 'ooOOOohs' and have their cousin kick them out of his shop for the day. Typical bond, they all laughed about it the morning after.

I think Weaver is slightly inclined to be *that* family member that accidentally (or not so accidentally) shares embarrassing trivia at the family dinner table in an effort to bond with Farmer whilst having Tailor kick him under the tablecloth. Spinner never does this but ... well he doesn't exactlyyy stop it either.
